i'm writing this verse for the people that need a reason to try.
teaching their seeds, they're not feeding nor eating: season is dry.
breathing is hard, but it's so easy to die. another sick son?
kill the pain and bury him alive. it's a barbarian life.
hopeless fathers become thieves, and killing for money carrying knives.
he was drunk when he hit her, liquor is scaring his wife.
drunk when he hit her, now he just buries his wife.
CNN doesn't reach this ghetto, BBC doesn't see this ghetto.
who could relieve this ghetto??
teach this fellow?? reach this fellow??
Prevent suicide before he reaches for his stiletto?

I write for the boy who's stuck in the world of anger and pain.
Saw his father shot in the back, the blood in the rain.
Mother is crying, both of his brothers is slain.
Asking, "Why are we fighting?!", hatred inside of his vein.
Killing every individual trying to step in his way:
Encounters a tank, looks away, points and he sprays.
Stray, digs in his brain. Pain. Pictures the daddy laying in rain.

it's kinda funny cuz refugees that are running,
from gunning soldiers who's orders are to shoot and not to miss kids.
i guess they're busy, with living and dealing with killing
and hiding in buildings but it just sucks: they will miss cribs.
i feel you get my gist, some people might get pissed,
they come to listen but instead get sent on guilty trips.

i'm not the villain kids.
i'm just revealing kids getting shot in the back
of the head because of where they live.

these are my brothers man, these are your sisters girls,
pray that they die in their sleep, so they could kiss this world -

         Did you know that 29,000 children die everyday from preventable diseases such as malnutrition, malaria, diarrhea, and acute respiratory infections? and that Malnutrition is associated with over half of those deaths?
or that in developing countries, one child in 10 dies before his fifth birthday? By comparison, in the U.S. one child in 165 will die before turning five years old.
        -In the last 50 years, 400 million people worldwide have died from hunger and poor sanitation. That's three times the number of people killed in all wars fought in the entire 20th century.
        -The wealthiest fifth of the world's people consume an astonishing 86 percent of all goods and services, while the poorest fifth consume 1 percent.
        - Of the 6.39 billion people in today's world, 1.2 billion live on less than $1 per day.

My youth group, along with Ken Kim's church youth group will be participating in this event to raise money for the cause. to save the lives of children. The money raised in this event will go to help nearly 100 countries worldwide, but mainly to:

Malawi, because of a new food security project

Darfur, Sudan because of the refugee crisis

Kenya, because of the Severe famine

Anyways, I am writing this, to inform and to ask for your help!
Me, along with the 2 youth groups will not be eatin for 30 hours, to see what it is like to not have food to eat, and to open our eyes to how lucky we are, how blessed we are to have been born here.

$30 will provide for a child's needs for a month..they live on $1 a day!!

Ten years ago, more than 1.8 million Ugandans were forced from their homes to overcrowded camps which now face desperate conditions. There is lack of food and water, alcoholism, sexual abuse, HIV/AIDS, inadequate sanitation and lack of education.

Displace Me

Displace Me is the nationwide event giving Americans the chance to respond. It begins on April 28th around noon and will end the morning of the 29th. This overnight gathering will send a bold statement to the US government that Americans care about ending the suffering of millions living in Uganda's displaced camps. We are demanding our government's support of the peace talks, which will allow the Acholi people to go back to their land and the abducted children to be returned home.

The Prodigal Son

There was once a man who had two sons. The younger said to his father, "Father, I want right now what's coming to me."
So the father divided the property between them. It wasn't long before the younger son packed his bags and left for a distant country. There, undisciplined and dissipated, he wasted everything he had. After he had gone through all his money, there was a bad famine all through that country and he began to hurt. He signed on with a citizen there who assigned him to his fields to slop the pigs. He was so hungry he would have eaten the corncobs in the pig slop, but no one would give him any.

That brought him to his senses. He said, "All those farmhands working for my father sit down to three meals a day, and here I am starving to death. I'm going back to my father. I'll say to him, Father, I've sinned against God, I've sinned before you; I don't deserve to be called your son. Take me on as a hired hand." He got right up and went home to his father.

When he was still a long way off, his father saw him. His heart pounding, he ran out, embraced him, and kissed him. The son started his speech: "Father, I've sinned against God, I've sinned before you; I don't deserve to be called your son ever again."

"But the father wasn't listening. He was calling to the servants, "Quick. Bring a clean set of clothes and dress him. Put the family ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. *true story about an atheist..*In his book "23 Minutes in Hell," California realtor Bill Wiese describes his personal experience of November 22, 1998. Wiese claims that he was lying in bed at 3 a.m. when he was plunged into hell--not in a dream, but in actuality; not because he had died and was being punished, but because God wanted him to experience hell and warn others. Wiese believes that after 23 minutes of torment, Jesus came to rescue him from hell and returned him to earth, where he landed, shaking, on his living room floor. This excerpt reprinted with permission of Charisma House.

On November 22, 1998... I was catapulted out of my bed into the very pit of hell. My point of arrival was a cell that was approximately fifteen feet high by ten feet wide with a fifteen-foot depth.

With its walls of rough stone and rigid bars on the door, I felt as though I was in a temporary holding area, a place where a prisoner would await his final hours before meeting a far more terrifying destiny. Isaiah 24:22 says, "And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison" (KJV). Proverbs 7:27 refers to "chambers" of death in hell.

As I lay there on the floor of that cell, I felt extremely weak. I noticed that I had a body, one that appeared just as it is now. Lifting my head, I began to look around. Immediately I realized that I was not alone in this cell. I saw two enormous beasts, unlike anything I had ever seen before.

These creatures were approximately ten to thirteen feet tall. These towering beasts were far, far beyond intimidating. It is one thing to be threatened by someone much taller than you. But these creatures were not of this natural world. I recognized that they were entirely evil, and they were gazing at me with pure, unrestrained hatred, which completely paralyzed me with fear. "Evil" and "Terror" stood before me. Those creatures were an intensely concentrated manifestation of those two forces.

I still had no idea where I was, and I felt utterly panicked. Although I had no point of reference, no familiarity with anything I was experiencing, and no understanding of how I got here, still I was faced with the unimaginable reality that a tortuous death seemed certain.

The creatures weren't animals, but they weren't human, either. Each giant beast resembled a reptile in appearance, but took on human form. Their arms and legs were unequal in length, out of proportion—without symmetry. The first one had bumps and scales all over its grotesque body. It had a huge protruding jaw, gigantic teeth, and large sunken-in eyes. This creature was stout and powerful, with thick legs and abnormally large feet. It was pacing violently around the cell like a caged bull, and its demeanor was extremely ferocious. The second beast was taller and thinner, with very long arms and razor-sharp fins that covered its body. Protruding from its hands were claws that were nearly a foot long. Its personality seemed different from the first being. It was certainly no less evil, but it remained rather still.

I could hear the creatures speaking to each other. Although I could not identify what language it was, somehow I could understand their words. They were awful words—terrible, blasphemous language that spewed from their mouths expressing extreme hatred for God.

Suddenly they turned their attention toward me. They looked like hungry predators staring at their prey. I was terrified. Like an insect in a deadly spider's web, I felt helpless, trapped, and frozen with fear. I knew I had become the object of their hostility, and I felt a violent, evil presence such as I had never felt before and greater than anything I could imagine. They possessed a hatred that far surpassed any hatred a person could have, and now that hatred was directed straight at me. I couldn't identify what these beasts were yet, but I knew they meant me harm...

Trusting God in the midst of our pain and heartache means that we accept it from Him. There is a vast difference between acceptance and either resignation or submission. We can resign ourselves to a difficult situation, simply because we see no othere alternative. Many people do that all the time. Or we can submit to the sovereignty of God in our circumstances with a certain amount of reluctance. But to truly accept our pain and heartache has the connotation of willingness. An attitude of acceptance says that we trust God, that He loves us, and knows what is best for us.
